Youth Group

Empowering Indian American youths in Westchester County through service-learning and leadership development, fostering cultural identity, community engagement, and positive impact.

We strive to: 

  • create a dynamic and inclusive platform that nurtures the potential of young leaders, 
  • cultivate a sense of cultural pride, 
  • drive meaningful change in the community
  • encourage our youths to actively contribute to shaping their identity, and advocate for their peers, and collaboratively address societal challenges.

Youth Group Goals:

Community Connection

establish a profound and lasting connection, bridging generational gaps and fostering understanding and appreciation of Indian American heritage and values.

Youth Advocacy

empower the youths to advocate for themselves and their peers, ensuring that their voices are heard, valued, and considered in matters that impact their lives. 

Leadership Development

nurture leadership skills by providing opportunities for them to take on leadership roles, contribute to decision-making processes, and initiate and execute programs and events.

Inclusivity and Belonging

create a safe and welcoming space where Indian American youths can truly belong, openly share their experiences, and forge strong bonds with their peers. 

Cultural Pride and Identity

deepen cultural awareness and pride among its members. Through various activities, events, and collaborations, we aim to reinforce a strong cultural identity.

Youth-Led Service

promote a culture of service among Indian American youths, encouraging them to actively engage in meaningful community projects and initiatives. By participating in service-learning activities, members will develop a sense of responsibility and commitment to creating positive change.
